Avoid Bad Habits
and Mistakes
Our accomplished instructors who are currently DJ’s at some of
the most prestigious nightclubs and events are dedicated to give you the
highest quality education. As a result, you will focus on the skills
that truly matter, avoid picking up bad habits or make costly mistakes
when purchasing improper equipment / software.
DJ 101 Foundations Course
Designed specifically for aspiring DJs with no prior experience, this immersive, hands-on program provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of DJing. Participants will develop core skills including mixing, beatmatching, EQ control, effects, looping, navigating record pools, and operating industry-standard DJ hardware and software. Weekend office hours available for extra practice and one-on-one coaching.
By the end of the course, students will have the confidence and technical ability to perform a live DJ set at the Soundworks Showcase.
Schedule: Mon & Wed 7:00–9:00 PM

DJ 201 Advanced Course
This dynamic course is tailored for artists ready to break out of the booth and onto the main stage. You’ll master advanced mixing techniques, develop your own creative mixing style, and learn how to read and move any crowd with precision and confidence. Beyond the decks, you’ll gain essential industry knowledge in personal branding, social media strategy, and professional networking—equipping you with the tools to grow your following and secure high-profile gigs. The course culminates with a live set at a nightclub in the Dallas area during the Soundworks Showcase—an opportunity to perform, connect, and be seen.-

DJ Edits production course
This course teaches you how to create DJ-friendly edits designed for the dancefloor. You’ll learn to navigate and master Ableton Live, integrate DJ and producer hardware, and craft custom intros, outros, transitions, buildups, mashups and mixes. The course also covers using EQs, filters, and effects to enhance your edits, basic mixing and monitoring techniques, and how to incorporate sampling. Perfect for DJs looking to elevate their sets with personalized edits and seamless transitions and kick off your production skills.-
